I never worry about removing the numbers. They generally rub
off. Besides I kinda think it's neat when people see the number on the
horse's butt and say " what's that?", and I say" this is an Endurance
Horse" and they give me a funny look and say "OHH" like they don't have a
clue. I have heard hairspray will remove the cattle marking crayon, if
that is what your horse is marked with.
