Thank you for the information and clarification. However, my horses will
not tolerate even 1/2 cup of corn oil per day, let alone 6 cups to be
effective.

I chose the rice bran route (from Triple Crown), feed a small margarine
container (about 8 oz) once per day and have seen a dramatic improvement
in Kasey's overall appearance. This includes putting on weight in the
"difficult" spots, over the back, in the loins, etc. His hair coat
"blooms", his spirits are high without him being "high" and he loves the
taste. I'm so impressed with the results that I have started our other
two on this same feeding regimen.

Mr T just came through a very tough Blue Mountain Gallop 50 with energy
to spare. He looks great this morning, not tucked up, no abnormal weight
loss. This is a 17 year old who started to look ribby as the winter
ended. In addition to the rice bran, I also have included a 1 lb can of
Equine Senior for him. This has made a marked difference in his
appearance and energy level (much to Kevin's chagrin!).

I very much value the research being done on equine nutrition and find
that it helps me make more informed choices on behalf of our hard-working
friends.
