Magnum horse is 15.3. I measured him by placing a level across
the highest point of his withers and marking his tie post. Then
I measured from the ground up in a straight line. He was sold to
me as 15.3.

He looks small on the track though in his racing videos. A girl
at the ranch was riding her "17 hand" horse in the arena. That
horse was *big*. He was much bigger than Magnum in every direction
on the earth. I don't know if her horse really is 17 hands. I
think even 16.2 would look a lot bigger than Magnum to me.

Rascal was 15.2 as measured with the level. He was quite a bit
smaller than Magnum horse. I also rode George, a 14 hand arab
for a while. George was nice because I could get on him bareback
in the pasture. He did not feel "small" when I rode him. He
was a lot of fun.

I'm 5' 7" and have a 32" inseam. I think Magnum horse is just
right for me. I don't think I'd want anything bigger though.
