That's what the fellow told us when we came across him in the Stae
Gamelands near Allentown, PA. He was on a hillside with a scope and all
he could see over the fence row were our two white Troxel helmuts bobbing
up and down. Apparently looked like deer tails! That's disconcerting!
I always thought that the white helmuts would give us some extra
visibility--but not that kind! I'm considering putting a couple strips
of reflecting tape on the helmuts.
I use day-glo orange tack (bridle & breastplate, fanny pack) on the horse
whenever riding in the gamelands and will often use an orange safety
vest. And not just during hunting season--though goodness knows, they're
always hunting something, sometime in PA.
Any other suggestions for improving your visibility?
