Lets discuss the proper placement of the mechanical hackamore -- we see far,
far to many of these at rides hanging w-a-y to low, any pressure could cut
off a good bit of the air intake of the horse, but maybe that's the way
these people control their horses?

It has always been my understanding that the nose band of a mechanical
hackamore should sit on the bump on the nose (there's probably a technical
name that someone can supply and or will correct me with!), which is also
where I was instructed to hang the (old style) bosal. This bump is much
higher than the ill fitted ones I am speaking of which are usually only 1 to
3 inches from the edge of the nostrel.

What say you guys?
