The other NW ride this weekend, R&R, was also well managed. The trail
was beautifully marked by Carolyn Roberts and Yvonne Brandt. Twenty
horse and rider teams started and finished the 50-miler. About the
same number started and finished the 24-miler. No pulls was quite an
achievement because it rained the entire night before the ride. The
sun came out on Saturday, but we had to deal with snow, mud, and bogs
on the trail. Tani Bates and Pat Murray tied for first on the 50.
