Fuchsia: The LMF Prime Time has a lot of "stuff" that the other feeds do not.
i.e. a "live yeast culture", high phosphorus levels, chelated trace
minerals, high fat content. The yeast enhances hindgut fermentation, the
phosphorus compensates for poor phosphorus absorbtion in older horses, the
chelated minerals for increased bioavailability of essential trace minerals,
high fat for weight gain without risk of founder. We also recommend the
feed for "unthrifty" younger horses. The food is, in fact, formulated for
the hay conditions in your area. The reference to "West Coast" just refers
to their marketing area. Your formulation in CA is different that mine in
Eastern Washington. Yours is actually manufactured in CA. If you have any
other concerns, let me know. My number is in the Endurance Directory, if
you would like to chat on the phone. Best regards, Al>>
