Well the color issue certainly caused a stir. Everyone has a favorite color
for some unscientific reason. From a thermodynamic view point, dark horses
cool faster than light colored horses because darker colors are better
radiators. The total heat loss will depend on the ratio of radiative to
evaporative heat loss. Is there any data of this ratio? You would think
someone would have researched this as they have been cooling horses for a
very long time.
