Kat had some good points about kicking....
On the other hand, if I am too close, and I get kicked, MY horse learns not
to tailgate and I am glad because obviously your horse can teach my horse
the lesson I haven't been able to get through his thick skull! You
shouldn't crowd, though, no matter where you are! Besides it being rude,
it is very dangerous for the horse behind as well as in front. The horse
behind can step (yes this happens more often than you think) on the front
horse's back legs! Now if you were tailgating me and this happened...well
you get the picture. The second is a danger to the tailgateee. He can't
see where he is going! He will stumble, and maybe fall. So, please, DON'T
TAILGATE!
