[endurance] Red Ribbons - a reflection of our society today.

After reading some of the comments about the red ribbons, I have reached the
conclusion that we are seeing the deteriorating American society being
played out before our very eyes. Lets see, a training ride is 25 miles
or approximately 125,000 feet. a 50 miles is roughly a quarter million feet.
A 100 miler is about a half million feet.

Now it has become clear to me that many people are unable to give 10 feet
to the "common good" to make for a safer saner event.

Instead, they seem to live by the prinicple that is is in their "vest self
interest" to get everything they are entitled to. Be

By the way, I first heard that phrase of "vested self interest" from my uncle.
Oh by the way many of you share the same uncle. I am speaking of Uncle Sam.

(In case you missed the point, how many times have you heard national policy
justifed as being in the "vested self interest of the country."?)

Horse are easy to deal with (including the kickers). It is the human that is
the problem. ^^^^ (omitted horses from right there)

Now does anyone want me to step up on to the soap box and continue this
monolog? :-)

Today's puzzle: Why am I considering future horse that I might own

1. "High Horse"

2. "My Soap Box"
