I'll step in here and apollogize here. I'm the sysop at roskihs.roskildebc.dk,
and the adress is supposed to be elinor@roskildebc.dk, just as mine is supposed
to be leif@roskildebc.dk. Why it sometimes isn't, beats me, but not the subject
here.

A quick summary of the Danish rules:
For rides below 80km, there is a maximum speed varying from 10km/h at the
shortest to 15km/h at the longest. If you get home faster than that (rounded to
next higher minute) you are not qualified for prices, but get points for
completion. If you are more than 5 minutes too fast, you're disqualified
completely.
At rides of 80 and above there is no speed limit.
If you are slower than 10km/h (7km/h at rides below 60km), you are also
disqualified.

So the rider nearest, but not faster than ideal speed wins, column "+time"
above.

That being equal, the rider with most A's out of 8 possible in the
final vet check wins.

That being equal, the horse with the lowest pulse at the final vet
check wins.

A little about the day: It was a few degrees above freezing, and we got a few
light snowshowers, but all in all a nice day.
The tracks were still snowcovered at some places, so the maximum speed at the
two longest classes where lowered from 14 and 13km/h to 12km/h.
Unfortunately some riders weren't informed of this, and only discovered this
from other riders at the last leg, so some bad feelings and sloow walks were
the
result (remember, too fast = disqualified)
I lost the left front shoe, but didn't notice in the soft ground until the vet
told me in the check after 20km. I put on an Easyboot, and got a full set of
A's
there and in the final check. But finished five pulse-beats per minute after
the
winner (my wife) and 2 beats outside the price-range.

Saturday, we go again. Weather forecast: +3C, snow.

Leif and Tauka
Elinor and Largo
Pernille at 4 stays at home with her Nalle.
