We have two geldings, one is a purebred, the other is his half brother but a
half Arab, both are grays, both will be 26 this July. It wasn't until about
6 months ago that the purebred developed some very small bumps on the
underside of his tail, vet said not to worry about them, at his age they
will never bother him. My point is that it took him 25 years to develop the
first one. Not all grays develop them early although I'm sure some do. I
happen to have a fondness for grays and *all things being equal* would
probably pick the gray. In regards to keeping one clean, the dark horse is
just as dirty, the gray shows the stains, the dark shows dust.
