This was another outstanding ride, as these rides near Auburn, Alabama, and
the Auburn University Vet School always are. Ride staff was great, support
included many vet students and ham radio operators, trails are continually
being improved and did not get too bad despite LOTS OF RAIN, Shamu in a nearby
lake did not quite cause my horse to dump me, hand-carved ironwood eagle
trophies were beautiful, and both my horses finished sound and fit at the
finish. Several of the members of this list finished the ride, including Nina
Gibson (truce, remember?), Samm Bartee, Laura Szeremi-Trouse, and Tina Hicks.
Who cares that it started raining two minutes after the start of the 55 and
there were high winds at the vet checks and warnings of hail. IT WAS GREAT!
