Hey y'all!

Ok, yes this is endurance related...sort of.... And you can just email me
privately so we don't fill up the list with this, if others aren't
interested. But I have a question about my "endurance dog" *:)

Shadow puts on all the same miles that Special & I do. She's 1/2 black
lab 1/2 german shepard, large and about 100 pounds. She's in good
health, and very fit. But I've been wondering if she should be getting
any extra food or vitamins because of all the miles she puts in. Also I
have noticed her acting "footsore" sometimes after we go riding. Do any
of you that have dogs that go riding with you, take them for extra
"checkups" with the vet? What about food or vitamins? She gets good
quality dog food (in large quantities). When I started giving
Special oil I gave Shadow some once for a treat. Now she LOVES it and
wants it on her food all the time! If I forget she begs untill I give it
to her. I figure the added fat must be good for her and her coat, just
like for the horses...right? Anyway, I'd really like to hear from other
people who take their dogs with them. What do you do to keep your dogs in
shape?

Thanks!
