Hello,
I think I'm about ready to order a sport saddle and have been looking
at some of the customization options. JeanieSS says that the cheyenne
roll is mostly cosmetic and also helpful in picking up the saddle or
tying jackets behind. Has anyone opted for this and wished they didn't
or vise versa? Also, how about the biothane stirrup straps and camlock
buckles? What are these buckles and are they better in your opinion?
I am probably going to order the 14 1/2 inch seat. I'm female 5'5" and
135 pounds. Anyone close to that and happy with this size seat?
HOw about the 3" cantle as opposed to the standard 2" cantle?
ONe last thing, the stirrup position. Jeanie suggests moving the
stirrups back 1/2". I've read comments on this list that the stirrups
are generally too far forward so I guess moving them is a good idea. Any
comments?
Here's one more chance for anybody who ordered one of these sports
saddles and was NOT happy with it to warn me of any problems they had,
I would especially love to hear from those of you who do competitive
trail and use this saddle, but any and all comments, negative or positive
from anybody and everybody would be vastly appreciated. I'm a little
nervouse about trying out such a different saddle but the comments in the
past have been so overwhelmingly positive that I figure everybody
couldn't be wrong.
You can e-mail me at laclark@unm.edu if you prefer.

Thanks again
