Our slant load enables all of the horses to turn and exit. We have taught
them to stop before exiting, and they do not JUMP out. The first few times
with the youngsters, they would scramble to get out. It didn't take them
very long to settle down.

We have trailer ties already attached, and just leave the lead ropes loosly
tied around their necks or drapped. We check all the horses at all the gas
stops. Mind you we have to trailer out just to ride at all. That trip is
only 15 min, but if you do it almost daily, they get the hang of it really
fast.

Good luck
