It is not surprising that NBC does not seem to be planning to televise
the dressage aspect of the Olympics as dressage is pretty boring to watch
unless you happen to be a dressage rider. Most viewers cannot see any
difference in the performances of all the dressage horses. To most it
just looks like a bunch of identically dressed riders with virtually
identical horses doing the same thing over and over again.
Face it...to the non horseman, it just isn't interesting for more than
about 5 minutes. Some people don't even have that much tolerance for it.
