Just a few examples:

The Far Out Forest 100 in 1994 - best condition an anglo arab
The Far Out Forest 100 in 1995 - first and second place were anglo arab
They broke Valerie Kanave's course record by about two hours. Best
condition an anglo arab.
The 1996 FOF 100 - first place an anglo arab. Best condition an anglo arab
(different horse)

The 1995 Old Dominion - first place an anglo arab
The 1995 Tevis - first place an anglo arab.

I think they can compete. Most of these examples above were middle weight
riders. I think the little extra size of the anglo is an advantage for the
middle weight and heavy weight riders. While you can find big Arabs, it is
very difficult.

Truman - who has been lucky enough to find two large Arabs over the past
two years. Jordy is 15-3 and Dan is 16 hands. While that is a step down
from the 16-2 hand walker, they are both big enough and strong enough to
carry my six foot 160 pound frame.
