While the pure TB may not be optimal for endurance, the cross of TB and
Arab usually makes a very good endurance horse, e.g. Steve Rojek's Hawk and
Mathew MacKay-Smith's Fred. This is especially true for the middle to
heavy weight riders. What the TB can gives this cross which is speed - the
flat out ability cover ground at high speeds. There are times when this is
a very nice thing to have.

Plus the thrill of ridding a fast galloping horse over easy terrian is
awsome. Any TB and most anglo's can deliver this thrill - very few Arabs
can.
