fire ant bites get a little lump. When you scrach one the hair comes off
and you get a waxy substance. Nothing to do but let them alone. They don't
seem to cause a real problem unless you get a reaction. That would happen
right away though. Always check your stable area for the ants before you
bed your horse down. Fire ants are a way of life in texas. You don't kill
them, you just move the mounds around to a different location. They
actually stay clear of the arena and build their mounds all around
mine.There only a problem if you lay a lead rope in the wri=ong spot, then
pick it up. loooook out!!!
