Glad to hear of others whose "gait" is a trot, and whose "easy going"
canter is a dead run! My horse will actually trot like a bloodhound
sometimes, with his nose to the ground smelling other horses!
As to posting...I've found it depends again on the horse. My daisy clipper
does not lend himself to posting; he is so smooth. My Russian stallion,
with the "Russian hocks", literally throws you out of the saddle, forcing
you to post. (BTW his gait is the slow canter).
How we have to adapt to individual horses to maximize their potential!
