I can second that. Due to work constraints (45-60 hours/week) there
isn't ANY time during the week to ride until DST arrives in April. So
we've been doing 1-2.5 hours of mostly walk, easy trot, up & down some
good, albeit short, hills on the weekends. Kasey isn't breaking a sweat
and the poor boy is really toting a load with Mom on his back. Our game
plan is to have me train them under my weight, then if there's a "tough" 50
(as if there's an "easy" 50) Kevin rides with a 50 lb weight advantage
given his weight & tack vs mine.

The key seems to be in HOW you do your ride. Slow & steady seems to win
out every time.
