Several of us carry an easy boot so we tend of have a
couple different sizes along. We have stopped more than
once to put one on and were glad to have it.

I rode with Stacy and her water scoop which allowed our
horses to drink from a faucet. I'll carry a scoop now
instead of a sponge. I have used the sponge, but it's
not a useful as the scoop, which also keeps the water
troughs cleaner.

I carry water for me. It takes only one time to run out
on a hot day. And then you find yourself drinking more
water in a day than Jack la Laine. Sort of the "lost
in the desert" affect.

I also carry some food for the same reason. And I'm going
to have a butt rug along where there is no one to bring
a blanket... having gone into the first check at Las
Trampas with nothing for his rear... and it was COLD.

Theory: People who carry nothing have crews at every stop.
