le for 100-miler?

CC
I've been riding in the Endurance Sports Saddle for 6 years. In the past 3
years I've competed in several 1-day 100's and 5 5-day rides (265 & 285 miles
in 5 days). Although I am a distributor for the saddle, I am foremost an
endurance rider and want my horses comfortable.
On one 5-dayer, I got sick on the first day (altitude, I believe) and rode
that poor horse down the mountain (2 hours) like a sack of potatoes. No
crupper and dead weight caused her back to be sore. I feel this would have
occured with any saddle - under the same circumstances.
Otherwise, I've had no problems on long rides.
As far as the rider goes - it is much much more tolerable for me than a
traditional saddle. You move like you are part of the horse - not fighting a
stiff traditional saddle tree under you. Several prominent horsemen and
women (Centered Riding instructor Susan Harris, for one, that wrote the Pony
Club manuals and Gaits and Movement) have sparkles in their eyes when they
see the saddle and say - this would be perfect for the handicapped riders!
I am 5'4" and 135 lbs. I ride mostly in a two-point position and
occasionally post.
If I can be of further assistance, please call or email me. If you want a
catalog, send me your address.
