Hi all!
Just back from beautiful Reno and the AERC convention. Finally saw a lot of
you netters. I heard from some of the venders that this was one of their best
conventions, as far as sales go, yet. If you weren't there you missed a
"goodn" as we say down South.
A quick brag on one of our fellow southerns. Joe Long joined his wonderful
horse Kahlil Khai in the AERC Hall of Fame. Joe's exceptance speech was
heartfelt and it brought many to tears. His wife Robbie, of many years, died
several years back. She had a long going heart condition and was loved by all
in the Southeast. Throughout her illness she went to most rides with Joe and
pit crewed as many as possible. Joe's speech started with a wish that she
could have been there to see this.
The Hall of Fame committee did not induct a horse this year. Coincidently,
when Kahlil was inducted there was not a human honered.
