Do sidebones affect an endurance horse's career? My 9 going on 10-year old
Arab has sidebones on his left fore, more on the outside than on the inside
and more than those on his right fore. They showed up late last year and
have caused no problems. However, for about 6 months before the sidebones
appeared he would point his left fore, but had no signs of pain or lameness.
He top-tenned 2 50s and finished a 100 back of the pack with no problems. I
started him up again in January and just the other day noticed that he is
pointing again on the left fore and appears to be perfectly sound.
Any insights will be most appreciated.
