I cannot stand a itisy bitsy slow walk. First you might want to check his
saddle and see if it is restricting in the shoulder area. A restriction
there could bother him at a walk more than it would at a trot.

Next find him a buddy with a good walk - or better yet find someone with a
walking horse with a long fast walk and make him walk to keep up instead of
jogging.

My riding partner on the FOF said her horse now walks musch faster after
following Misty's 4 - 5 MPH walk while we were looking for markers to keep
from getting lost. Any my wife'a Arab, Jordy, now has a nice walk after
riding with Misty for the past year and a half.
