Nick,

Having nursed horeses back from suspensory injuries,
both unsuccessfully and sucessfully, my advice
is be very patient. Give him the time off recommended
by the vets and then add a couple of months.

And probably once the horse has heeled, avoid fast
gallops to the finish at the end of race.

Also, watch for any slight signs of lameness that
go away in a day or two. Those are early warning
signs that if heeded by giving immediate rest
will allow the beginnings of a reoccurence to
heal and if ignored will lead to a serious breakdown.

Best of luck and hope to see you at the convention.
