Just a notice of the Open House/Silent
Auction to be held on March 24, 1996 at Los
Alamos Dressage Center in Freehold, New Jersey.
It's being conducted as a benefit for Rutgers
University Equine Research Programs. Before anyone
flames this as not endurance related-WAIT! Dressage
can benefit the endurance rider-ask Cheryl and Stagg
Newman who take regular lessons at Los Alamos! :-)
The event will start at 11AM, presentations (musical
Kurs, Pas De Deux, FEI Grand Prix level exhibitions
Etc) will start at 1PM. The silent auction has a
lot of good items so far, ranging from 4 tickets to
the Easter Show at Radio City in New York City to
a breeding to a champion Warmblood Stallion! We are
looking for more items for the auction, too! Bidding will
end at about 4PM (after the exhibitions are over).
Plan to arrive early and leave late! In the past, the
Open House has attracted hundreds of people from all disciplines
of riding. This year we hope for record attendance. THe
Equine Science programs at Cook College are expanding rapidly
and will be highlighted throughout the day.
For more information contact: Dr. Gail Hoff-Carmona, Los
Alamos Dressage Center at (908-780-0070) or me:
Sarah Ralston, (908-932-9404) or Ralston@aesop.Rutgers.edu.
We also need people to help with the program during the
day of the event! Any volunteers out there? Also, if any
of you are on other horse oriented networks I'd really appreciate
you forwarding this information to them (Thanks, Texas Rangers
for doing it earlier!)

THANK YOU ALL!

P.S: BTW: Finally got to ride this weekend-first time in months.
Fling did VERY well, considering! Even crossed a deep, wide
stream she'd never seen before (we were alone) with only
minimal coaxing. We just might be able to
do some rides this year-Hoorah!
