[endurance] Trailer talk

We're in the market for a new trailer, actually probably for a used one
since I doubt if we can afford a new trailer but I've been hearing about
some nice ones that can be customized made in Texas and in the midwest
somewhere. I'd consider them If I knew where to look and could get a good
feel for their sturdiness.

My requirements are as follows:

Steel, goose neck, 3-4 horse slant load with a ramp. Dividers removable,
at least one "stud" divider, solid to the floor and screen or mesh on
top. I really like the modified stock trailers that have drop down feed
doors at the horses heads and an open slat at their rumps. Back door must
be abnle to be fully enclosed, no foal jumping out for me! Living
quarters in front ideal, otherwise a *large* dressing room I can fix up.
If has living quarters then the items inside in order of importance are:
bed, toilet, shower, stove. <g> No rear tack rooms, I hate those even
when they can be removed. Fully padded or at least rubber lined inside.

I'd like to have a trailer that has a hay rack on top, has bucket
holders, tons of tie rings on the side but am not sure which
manufacturers make trailers that can be easily modified to add those.
I've never seen that stuff (other than hay rack) mentioned in new trailer
brochures.

I do not want to attach any portable pens, but do want to be able to tie
up hay nets, feed bags, several buckets for both electrolyte and plain
water and grain buckets at the same time. I'm also real concerned about
the wheel wells of most trailers, they sure have a lot of sharp edges and
while I know how to wrap hose pieces and tennis balls and duct tape on
them to prevent injury I'd really love a trailer with all the appropriate
padding in place.

For various reasons I won't buy a Circle J trailer at all. Ditto for any
aluminum trailer.

What manufacturers do you prefer and why? What company makes good
trailers with living quarters?

I'm not concerned about weight. The truck I have can pull an 8 or 10
horse trailer with no problems and I've hauled lightweight trailers and
hate them.

I want to get back doing more competitive trail (hence the numerous tie
rings) and go to dressage shows. I also need to haul mares and foals and
unbroke horses on occasion.

Suggestions?
