Hello, you might try this; where I board my horse Dave and our other friends
come over on Sundays and he also practices at night while he's doing chores.
he stands in the door way at the end of the barn and practices target
shooting out into the small paddock at the end of the barn. The horses don't
seem to mind and I think its good for them, it desensitizes them to sharp
quick noises. I think may be they'll be less spooky. Its cretainly good for
the youngsters. Shai doesn't mind it at all now she just twitches a little
when he starts shootong then she's okay. Not one of the rushes around in
their stalls or gets upset.
