Well, here I am in San Diego county, California, and I just have to gloat a
bit. After 6 months of rain last year, it has been just goergous here this
year so far. T-shirt weather for riding. It was 85 degrees here today and
clear as a bell. Now if only I didn't have to work.
As for the East vs West horses and longevity, you just can't beat a ride
a month year round, and all within 4 hours driving time. Some as close as 20
minutes. We live down the street from the Laguna Ride put on by Terry
Wooley-Howe (sp). So it's just easier to find miles for your horse out here.
Availability seems to be the key, and year round keeping them in shape.
Learning what to wear for a cold ride out here takes some planning. I
can be 25-30 degrees at night, and then 85 at noon. Talk about layering.
Sorry to all of you in the snow areas. Give us a ring anytime you are
in the area, we'd love to show you the area.

Good riding to all
