I have had the best luck with Shock Tamers over any other pad. The problems
I have had with pads is that the compress and my nail clinches comes lose and
I lose shoes. I, to, have had rocks and other junk get under pads. Tar and
Oakum just doesn'[t stay in, silicone still lets things in, so I tried
putting silicone on foot first, then putting a piece of foam rubber that the
heal, then nail on the shoe. The foan sticks to the silicone and stays there
pretty well...keeps alot of stuff out.

But, after using easyboots over my shoes, I will go that route. I like to
have my horses feet breathe and I can take off the easyboot after I ride each
time. I agree that easyboots stay on just great over shoes, even if you
flatten the "teeth" on the inside.
