This is something that I am familiar with. Since last February my
horse has been on 50mg. of biotin per day (Biotin Plus). He has
developed a liking for it, though at first he didn't. His feet used
to crack and spread out and break off all over the place! Now my
farrier says he has good strong feet and is developing a nice thick
hoof wall. Before there was no place to put the nails in, and now
there is. I don't know how much that has to do with the biotin, but
his feet are definitly 100% better than they were, and I am keeping
him on the supplement. I order it from KV Vet Supply. I don't have
their 800 # with me, but I can get it if anybody is interested. I
order the 5 gallon bucket and it lasts approx. 8-10 months for one
horse.

Also, before his hooves hardly grew at all -we were lucky to file
them down every few weeks - and now the farrier is cutting off a good
amount (the dogs favorite treat). It hasn't been a full year yet,
and you wouldn't recognize his feet!
