[endurance] Easy Boot Size & Horseshoe Size Question

When my horse lost a horseshoe (front) just before the farrier was due, I
traced an outline of the bare foot and compared the tracing to the Easy Boot
itself. I purchased a Size 2 based on the tracing. I made the adjustments
described in accompanying brochure and the Easy Boot did not come off.

I had expected to buy the Size 1, which would have been one size larger
than the lost horseshoe.

Is there usually a correlation between shoe sizing and Easy Boot sizing?

Do your horse's take a smaller Easy Boot size just *after* trimming/shoeing
as opposed to *before* the farrier is due?
