We have been using the Slypner Athletic shoes on two endurance horses for
the past two months. I am very pleased with the results so far. The
inserts stay in, are easy to put in and take out, and seem to be wearing
very well-particularly on hard ground. The one horse has had a history
of back problems brought on by displaced vertibrae, which has been helped
by periodic chiropratic adjustments and a good-fitting Sharon Saare
saddle. With the Slypner shoes this horse absolutely floats over the
ground and displays a freedom in back motion that belies his 16 years!
We were so impressed that we put these shoes on my mare who has no
problems whatsoever, and even at that we can see a noticable difference
in height and length of stride (and this is a BIG-moving gal). We have
ordered the studded inserts for everyone now that ice-season is upon us
(Eastern PA). I would proclaim these as an unqualified success for us!!
And I would certainly recommend them to anyone. Are they expensive?--not
when you consider the benefits to be derived. And the company reps are
delightful to deal with--knowledgeable & helpful. Even my farrier likes 'em.
