hello,

Wendy- not all states have a vet school. The best place to look for the
one pertaining to your region is on the world wide web. NetVet has much
vet-related info, including the addresses of vet schools throughout the
world. NetVet can be found at:

http://netwet.wustl.edu/

Another good place for addresses is connected to the NetVet page - the
American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges. It also has some
international schools.

I went ahead and looked up Washington State University for you.

I wouldn't call until after the New Year as we students are in the throes
of finals and then Xmas break.

I encourage everyone to call or write to their local schools and ask for
the officers of the SCAAEP. You may just be able to set up something to
inform students of distance riding. Officers are always looking for a
cheap speaker to come to a meeting. Also, I am sure any vet students or
faculty on this list would be more than interested to work as liaison
(fetching addresses, approaching officers, etc) for anyone who wants to
come to their school or support the SCAAEP. This plea includes Ohio! I am
the only distance rider at OSU CVM (that I know of!). I am not very good
at public speaking and some help would be appreciated. Remember, vet
students are the future of distance riding...
