[endurance] australian endurance rides and logbooks

one of the recent notes mentioned that possible use of
the australian logbooks for rides would be of interest.

i spent a week riding in australia with the samples(father and
son) that have won the quilty(their tevis equivalent) and
spent a reasonable amount of time discussing the use of the
logbooks. i liked the idea quite a bit. the ride was part
of lari sheas annual trip to australia.

joe long and i have discussed it a little off-line and i
feel that if it were understood well and used properly -
it could be a useful tool in our rides. it would provide a
history that could also help us understand how to take better
care of our horses and lead to statistics that would provide
a better equine athlete.

would any of the australian members of the group be interested
in describing in some detail how they use it and the benefits
they see from its use?
