Kim,
I read your letter with great interest. I had held off replying to
Margie's letter in that it brought back some painful memories. However, of
the many lessons and consequences that follow losing a horse either
at a ride or following a ride, people need to remember one *really*
important fact.

The only person/s who have the true facts are the the rider
and possibly support staff and vets.

Do not second guess what happened, add your interpretation, second
guess the vets, heap recriminations on the rider (or horse, or horses
condition). Only the rider really knows, and the rider, not the person
lending their interpretation, bears the consequences. One of the most
painful things in life is losing one's horse, however it happens.
