Hi Sam,
Well, I was at the Atlanta convention too. I made the
effort to go because I felt strongly that Go-the-Distance
should support the convention, no matter where in the US.
Needless to say, we lost our shirts on the venture, but
gained several friendships. I likened the experience to
going on a ride where it rains continuously. You do the mileage,
and are uncomfortable for about 8 hours, but completion is
that much sweeter. I dont fault the organization of the
Convention, rather, the hellacious snowstorm which blew in
an hour after we arrived (reducing attendance by over 400 local
people), and blew itself out a couple of hours before we left.
I kept the front page of the local newspaper for the Taxman!

I will attend the AERC Convention in 97 wherever they decide to hold it,

Dom
