Well, our 4yr old went into the vets yesterday. The lameness is still
at the same level it has been for a couple of weeks i.e not really
visible at a normal trot, but a very positive flexion test.
Unfortunately just before going to the vets he put his foot through a
gate, just a scratch, but enough to cause some local swelling and
confuse the issue. Nevertheless we went ahead with ultrasound of the
tendons and x-rays of the joint. Nothing - everything seems perfect.
Going back again next week once this scratch has healed up to try
again with nerve blocks. The odd thing is same thing happened two
years ago on the same leg, only he was much lamer then. Still could
not find anything wrong anywhere - at that time there wasn't any
swelling or heat or anthing. Last about 3 months on and off then,
then it disappered. This was before he was backed, he was just
turned out in a field and stabled at night at the time. Any
suggestions?
