Pharalina pulled hers when I was moving her up from 50s to 100s.
The vet said to wait 6 weeks before doing anything. I brought her
back to the vet at 6 weeks and in the flexion test she was still
lame. So, I said, if I can't ride, she would do some other work.
I introduced her to a nice stud and a year later got a great baby.
Once the baby was old enough, I started to bring her back.
Actually, I rode her easy after about a six month lay off.
With the baby she got another 3 months rest. Slowly, I started her
out. After weaning (baby 6 months), I went a bit more. She seemed sound.

At the first endurance ride, she came in grade 1 lame. A week
rest and she was ok. Every ride after that it was grade 1 or 2.
I gave up on her. I took her on easy rides and she seemed ok.
But anything over 25 miles and she'd come in lame. She turned into
a wonderful brood mare and has given me 4 beautiful colts.
No fillies, just boys. I'll trade you a 2 year old colt that
looks to be growing up strong, for a nice personality good boned
filly. (Only half kidding. With 4 at home right not, I've got
my hands full.)
