We use an electric corral. The first 2 rides we attended, we
had the horses tied to the trailer. it was awful - no sleep
(we sleep in the gooseneck portion of the trailer). I had no
idea horses could make *that* much noise overnight.

I finally fell asleep just before dawn (so it seemed) only
to wake up to the racket of Redbud playing with his water bucket...

Very few of the rides have camping facilities with access to picket
lines (often we're in a big treeless field).

I like the fact that the horses have freedom to move around and
lie down with no ropes to worry about. We have electric fence at
home, so the horses know what the electric tape is all about.
