Hi Everyone!

As a long time crew member I thought you might like to hear some of my pet
peeves. It seems the riders have had lots to say, but we crews are out
there working our ____'s off too!

My biggest pet peeve is not being able to get a copy of the trail map to
follow where our riders are going. PLEASE!!!! Have plenty of extra maps
so that all crew members as well as riders can have one. I would like to
suggest that in the ride packet include 2 maps, one for rider, one for crew.

Also, when we have to go charging down roads to find the next vet check
it would be nice to have our turns marked as well. In the dark, small
signs, or a small gate off the road are not visible from inside the
vehicle. We can not get "off" our motorized horses to check the trail!
A big sign that says "Crews Turn Here" or "Vet Check #" would be
great. I got lost looking for the place to turn for one of the vet
checks at the Old Dominion and ended up on a logging road with absolutely
no way to turn the truck around or back up. Fortunately it ended up at a
ranger's cabin. But it was very late at night and I knew Carlos and Cody
would be looking for me and was afraid that if I wasn't at the check they
would pull from the race to look for me (Carlos is a very protective
worry wart!) One sign would have avoided all of that. BTW the ranger
said that I was not the only one that night to end up at his door!

Other than that I think the suggestions for the dinner menu are right on
the money! Some fruits and veggies are greatly appreciated!
