ridecamp@endurance.net: board

board

I am looking for a place to keep and train my horse. He is now at my mom's
where, in order to train, I have to ride for about 2 miles along the road.
That's not so bad except traffic - and loose dogs- have increased
exponentially since we moved there 6 years ago and it is hardly safe to
lead/jog him on the road (which is what I have resorted to for the last
several months), much less ride and Tony is good on the road!! Anyway, I
live in Huntsville, AL and would be interested in moving him anywhere in
the Huntsville/Madison/Harvest/ etc...area. Money is not so much the issue
for boarding as access to adequate places to ride. I would accept a pasture
board situation as long as there are trees or some sort of shelter for bad
weather. Tony is a 10 year old gelding that has always gotten along with
pasturemates - he's had several and has no trouble adjusting to a move.
He's easy to catch and handle. I would even consider swapping some of the
board for stall cleaning/feeding, ect...Ideally, would like to end up
somewhere that was suitable to bring my Dalmatian with me - he loves to
trail ride - (I am hoping to do some Dal Road Trials with him). Anyway, if
anyone has any leads, please e-mail me personally.

Thanks,
Tina Hicks
