drug policy

I wish that I could agree that the AERC drug policy is simple and
understandable. I think if you ask 10 veteran endurance riders about
the legality of substances like DMG, MSM, and Flex Free you will get
10 different answers.

The wording in the policy is confusing by itself. When absorbine and
alcohol are listed, for example, it is not clear if they are examples
of permissible or non-permissible exceptions. (One almost needs a vet
degree to be sure).

I was not aware until I saw the listing that MSM and DMG had
anti-inflammatory properties. I thought Flex-free did, but apparently
I am wrong. Can any vet on the forum clarify this?

P.S. I saw Truman's response to Bob Morris, but I have never seen
Bob's original letter. It would be helpful if all subscribers could
see important correspondence (especially from AERC directors).
