Mike -

I still haven't gotten in WWW - but getting closer - thanks for sending me
info a while back to help me get on the AOL internet. -- but I noted your
post to Truman about the 56 and vet / power issue at the board meetings -

I think my director is Steve Johnson competitions comm? I would be happy, as
others I'm sure to share with our directors if it can be made accessible.
But you are right -- absolutely nothing wrong with a 56 criteria it has my
vote, and the rest of us riders at the ride DEPEND on Vet control/"power" if
the board calls it that - the board as a group task is great, and we need
them too. But the board is not at my ride when I need a vet and I rely on
the vet to share his honest experience and education with me in regards to my
horse - I have great respect for our vets -

I agree tho - to get the message thru it may need to come from say - the
riders - peers - of those that are concerned with the 25's and from the posts
there is not a shortage of riders thoughts on 'speed' abuse, it seems most
agree with your type of concept of sharing the awards in other areas besides
1st place.

Maybe we, all of us out here, need a way to get this type of info to the
AERC commitees? Is AERC on-line so we can send the stuff to committees? Or
regional directors?

Just a thought -

And Mike, you're not in my region so I'm not familiar with your work, but
thanks for being a vet in this sport, we need and appreciate your professions
efforts -- without vets we could not safely do our sport.

Thanks again -
May we all Ride Safe and Sound
