Lois Crowley asks about electrolytes.

During Sarah Ralston's study, she found that horses needed
electrolyte suppliments at about every 20km during the ride.
This was for a hot, humid, high elevation ride.
Other rides have shown slightly different results.
The high elevation played a factor in this study.

I would continue to suppliment the horse at each vet check.
Also provide some electrolyte water next to plain water and
see if your horse will drink that. At the end of the ride,
give one more dose for all that the horse has sweated those
last 10 miles.
