wrong the first time and I have not heard from anyone
nor seen this come through on the net...

Hi Everyone!
Well, we've done it. We sent our entries for our first 25
to Linda for the Oakland Hills Ride on June 17th. We
would be: Valerie Christenson on her chestnut TB
ex-racer Jessie, Gabrielle Robinson on her new blue roan
(enduro-list aquired) 1/2 Arab/Appy "Dixie", and me on my
Bay TB ex-racer Magnum. You'll spot us... And we'll be
sporting our "@" signs!
Anyone else going to be there? We've been practicing
the trails / hills / and trailering. We're creating stories
fast! So far, aside from the usual cuts and bruises, we
are all still sound. Our collective experience is: Dixie has
done endurance before, but Gabrielle hasn't. Gabrielle
has been riding longer than the rest of us and has lots of
general trail riding. Val and Jessie have been quite
successful at NATRC, completing 20+ miles and collecting
ribbons. Magnum, well, this will be a first for Magnum.
And I have the dubious experience of doing a handfull
of 25's and 50's with Maryben and Becky Hart back in
the early 80's... before my knees started to sound like
plastic bags.
So... with the day aproaching, I'm getting a bit nervous.
We haven't heard anything about our entries yet... is
this normal? When do we get the info for the ride?
... and all input is welcome! Val and I are avid readers
of this list. There's been a lot of good stuff about
first 25's lately. But if anyone wants to send more,
that'd be great!
