I've had practically miracles occur with the use of large amounts of probiotics. I always have some available - at the first sign of any sort of problem with my horses, I give them a big dose. what kind do you use? when/how much do you use? I'm currently using a powdered probiotic meant for humans that I get at the feed store: Back To Health. Half pound for $12 and change. It comes with a teensy little scoop - maybe half a tsp size - and I consider that a maintenance dose. If I've got a horse with a problem I'll mix several scoops in with some beet pulp and Bermuda/alfalfa blend pellets, very well soaked. If I've got a horse with a critical issue, I'll give the horse a probiotic dose tube from the feed store morning and evening, then go to the powdered stuff in the soaked pellets morning and evening. I don't currently have any of the tube probiotics so can't tell you the brand name. _____________________________________ Lif C.
